How to Object

TWA Order Applications are decided on the merits of the argument, not on the numbers in support or against.

However, our argument is that if Airtrack is built without replacing our level crossings, an entire town is going to be seriously affected in a multitude of ways, and most of the problems can be avoided by finding a little money for a little tunnel....     So we are after numbers. Our  5,000 signatures on a Petition counted as just one objection, but the 1,000 individually signed letters (even identical ones) are 1,000  individual objections.

Please write to:   (new address,  please note)

Provide your name and address.

Give your reasons for objecting to this application (or to a part of it).  If you can find the acknowledgement the D for T sent you, use the reference no. on it. If you can't, don't worry.   (Your  "Airtrack file"  may now be an "Airtrack drawer"  like mine)

In your own words will obviously make more impact,  but we will try and provide some model letters soon.  The old ones will probably do fine,   you can download one here.   We added a bit more about Egham Hythe in this one.   This one might be better if you are writing on behalf of a business, organisation, club or society. We've even done a draft for the family and friends who visit you.   ERA members may like this one:  If you've had their reminder, here is a short-cut.

You can see the  DRAFT  Chamber Objection here:   (not the one we actually sent,  I got out-voted)  Feel free to pick out any bits you like.

And there's some important information about Objections here
